I'm Jackson — a senior product designer based in Colorado, working at the edge of behavior, systems, and the occasional very steep pitch.

I've spent 7+ years designing digital products across fintech, ecommerce, outdoor, and health — most recently at Betterment where I led design for their AI Copilot feature. Before that, I built new product features for Crocs and changed the way the brand performs across global ecosystems. I've worked embedded in product teams and as a studio, which means I'm comfortable moving fast inside an org and thinking long inside a brief.

My work tends to involve systems — not because I prefer abstraction, but because I've learned that durable design lives at the component level. The screens look good. The system holds up.

I care about the problem before the solution. I read the research before the wireframe. I ask why the metric matters before designing toward it. I've found that the most interesting design challenges aren't really design challenges — they're behavior problems, trust problems, or organizational problems wearing a design mask.

Outside the screen: I'm on a trail, on snow, or figuring out why the tent footprint matters. The attention to terrain translates.

Currently open to senior IC and staff product design roles. I work best in environments where design has a seat at the table and the table is actually making decisions.
